£249.00Nestled in the beautiful SW19 area lies The Wimbledon Club, also known as Lakeside.
Situated opposite the All England Lawn Tennis Club and home to a plethora of sports, it’s at this iconic venue that we will host our very popular one day UKRSA Tennis Stringer course.
We start at 9:30am and will be finished by 4:30pm.
Stringing machines will be provided, though if anyone wishes to bring along their own machine then let Paul know in advance.
Topics will include racket constructions, string types/properties, effects of varying tensions, relationship between string and ball, string bed stiffness and string durability.
It will be a very busy day with lots to cover. The emphasis will be on the actual stringing skills. Suitable for complete beginners who wish to start off on the right foot, or for experienced stringers wishing to upgrade their skills/knowledge and/or to achieve the certification of UKRSA Tennis Stringer.
Information offered on how to set up a successful stringing business. Certification awarded at end of course if sufficient skills and knowledge have been demonstrated. All materials, rackets, strings and machines will be provided.
The course fee includes some free string samples, one year of UKRSA membership which allows access to the UKRSA Technical Forum and to exchange information with the other stringers, great product discounts or even get involved in tournament stringing work. Tennis coaches earn 6 CPD credits upon successful certification.
Plenty of parking is available and refreshments will be available to purchase at the club catering facilities. It is suggested to bring a packed lunch or purchase lunch on the day.
Upon arrival, please make your way to the garden room which is situated on the ground floor, to the right of the clubhouse entrance and overlooking the cricket field.
