This is a comprehensive two-day event that covers all aspects of racket servicing. Suitable for complete beginners wishing to grasp the skills and knowledge properly or for experienced stringers wishing to upgrade their their existing skills/knowledge and achieve the UKRSA Certification. Starts at 9.30am and finishes at 5pm each day, with a short break for lunch. Your course tutor will be Liam Nolan, UKRSA Founder & Technical Director. Liam is also ex-Wimbledon Head Stringer, USRSA Master Racket Technician and Davis Cup stringer.
Day One will cover Tennis & Squash, Day Two will include Badminton. We will be using both manual and electronic machines. It may be possible to include course members rackets, but we will have a full range of assorted rackets for use on the course. Your course fee includes one years UKRSA membership if needed, so that you can access the UKRSA Technical Forum and share all sorts of information.
We will cover a very wide range of tasks such as string types, choosing the correct string and tensions, gripping, grip enlarging, string patterns, grommet replacement, stencilling, assorted weaving methods, tools and their uses, machine types, running a successful stringing service and lots more.
Food – Please bring your own food and drinks, though that may be available at the club. There is no “Final Test” but hopefully all course members will be receiving the certificates at the end of the course. Anyone unable to achieve the levels of skills and knowledge on the course can attend any further course for free to address the part they need help with.
