BURNTISLAND (FIFE) – One-Day Tennis Stringer or Squash Stringer course 10th December 2022 ‘POSTPONED UNTIL EARLY 2023, NEW DATES TO BE ADVISED’

The Unity Hall, Burntisland, Fife will be the venue for a selection of racket servicing courses. Suitable for all abilities, whether an absolute beginner to stringing or an experienced stringer wishing to upgrade skills and knowledge, plus achieve the certification. All equipment supplied, you will just need your enthusiasm, pen and paper. Those with a stringing machine may wish to bring it along to work on by prior arrangement with tutor David Hall. Coaches wishing to gain the 5 CPD points need to apply direct to the LTA after successful completion of the course. You may bring along some rackets to work on if you wish but please clean thoroughly first.
Certification awarded at the end of the course if sufficient progress made.
This course will cover EITHER Tennis or Squash. The next day is day 2 of the Professional Stringer course at the same venue, which covers all racket sports and you may wish to book onto that instead if you need to be trained across all racket sports.
All racket servicing skills will be covered – Types of strings, why strings break, how strings perform on ball impact, stringing patterns, types of rackets, problem rackets, overcoming problems, stringing for players with specific needs, stenciling, re-gripping, setting up a stringing business and lots more.
Time – Course starts at 9.30am and finishes at 5pm each day.
Food – Lots of great cafes in the Town, but you can bring along your own food. Refreshments throughout the course by way of the trusty kettle.
