Inverness – Tennis/Squash Stringer Course – 21st November, 2026
Our one-day tennis/squash stringing course will be held once again on Saturday, 21st November. This very popular course will be in the Charleston Academy Community Complex, Kinmylies, Inverness IV3 8ET.
The course will start very promptly at 9:00am and finish at 3:00pm. In this venue, we have to finish at 3pm on a Saturday, although we would normally go on for another hour. It will be possible to cover all of the course material fully, provided we:
- start promptly at 9am
- have a working lunch
and to that end a small selection of sandwiches, fruit and soft drinks will be provided, as well as the usual tea and coffee. Free parking is available at the venue. It will be a very busy day with lots to cover. The emphasis will be on the actual stringing skills. The course is suitable for both complete beginners who wish to start off on the right foot and for experienced stringers wishing to upgrade their skills/knowledge and achieve the certification of Tennis Stringer or Squash Stringer. In any event, you will leave able to string a racket well and with a great deal of knowledge of the wider aspects.
Stringing machines will be provided, but – if anyone wishes to bring along their own machine then please let us know in advance. This course will cover either tennis or squash and on the day it’s your choice. There is no exam – provided the right skills and knowledge are achieved by the end of the day, a certificate will be awarded.
The course fee includes one year of UKRSA membership, which allows access to the UKRSA Technical Forum and to exchange information with the other stringers, great product discounts or even the chance to get involved in tournament stringing work. Tennis coaches earn 6 CPD credits upon successful certification. After booking your place, you will receive a pre-course email around 10 days before the course date.
PLEASE NOTE: We will cover the full range of learning and practical experience in this course, but there will be very little time to spare. If you would prefer a more leisurely session, please see Monday, 9th November at the same location or Saturday, 31st October near Dunfermline. Other courses will be added soon.
