May 31 @ 9:30 am - 4:30 pm

PLEASE NOTE:  A COURSE DATE IS NOT YET CONFIRMED BUT WILL BE SOON. TICKETS ARE NOT YET AVAILABLE TO PURCHASE EITHER. PLEASE CHECK BACK OR TO REGISTER YOUR INTEREST, KINDLY EMAIL PAUL ([email protected])

Situated in the prestigious location of SW19 and opposite the All England Lawn Tennis club, lies The Wimbledon Club.

A very active club that is heavily involved with the Wimbledon Tennis Championships each year.

A truly iconic location and no better place to learn the skills of racket stringing and racket servicing.

It’s here where we will be running our very popular one day stringing course. Places are limited and so early booking is strongly advised.

The course starts at 9:30am and we will finish by 4:30pm. It’s recommended to bring your own lunch. However, the club does have a fantastic restaurant and bar area where food and drink can be purchased.

Stringing machines will be provided, though if anyone wishes to bring along their own machine then please let Paul know in advance. Rackets and all strings will also be provided. This course will cover either tennis or squash and on the day it’s your choice. Provided the right skills and knowledge are achieved then a certificate will be awarded at the end of the day.

It will be a very busy day with lots to cover. The emphasis will be on the actual stringing skills. Suitable for complete beginners who wish to start off on the right foot, or for experienced stringers wishing to upgrade their skills/knowledge and/or to achieve the certification of UKRSA Tennis Stringer or UKRSA Squash Stringer.

Topics include but not limited to:

  • Understanding your customer needs.
  • Pre-stringing steps including frame inspection.
  • Two piece stringing vs one piece.
  • UKRSA RTW pattern.
  • Stencilling.
  • Grip replacement.
  • “Get out of jail” tips.
  • “Rackets from Hell” discussion (and some to show you!).

Your course fee includes one year of UKRSA membership which allows access to the UKRSA Technical Forum and to exchange information with the other stringers, great product discounts or even get involved in tournament stringing work. Tennis coaches earn 6 CPD credits upon successful certification.

Please note that after booking your place, you will receive a pre-course email a week or two before the course date.
