About
Darren Moore
UKRSA Tutor
Darren qualified back in 2009 under the tutelage of the UKRSA’s Founder and former Technical Director, Liam Nolan. To this day, Liam’s teachings are what he aspires to whenever he’s at work.
From a career in Legal and Insurance fields, learning to string was something totally different. He regards it as a mixture of art, craft and science rolled into one. “You’re working with different string technologies, managing the various forces placed on the racket whilst seeking to produce a consistent result for your client. There’s a lot going on.”
As a tutor for UKRSA, Darren is keen to pass on the methods adopted and proven to work, whilst still being open to progress and changes in the field. He regards obtaining the Course Certificate as just the start. “It’s like passing your driving test – you only truly learn to drive when you’re out there on your own after your instructor has gone.”
Whilst Darren strings all types of racket, squash (and now racketball because of the knees you know) is where his heart lies.
Darren is based in Yorkshire and provides courses in the North of England.
