SUMMARY:Oxshott Tennis/Squash Stringer Course - Sunday 16th March
DESCRIPTION:Nestled in the beautiful Surrey village of Oxshott lies the Oxshott Village Sports Club. \nHome to a plethora of sports including Tennis\, Squash\, Padel Tennis and Racketball\, it’s here that we will host our very popular one day stringing course. \nThe course starts promptly at 9.30am and will finish by 4:30pm\, possibly earlier depending on how things progress. \nIt’s recommended to bring your own lunch. Drinks will be available to purchase at the club although coffee and tea will be provided. \nStringing machines will be provided\, though if anyone wishes to bring along their own machine then let Paul know in advance. This course will cover either tennis or squash and on the day it’s your choice. Provided the right skills and knowledge are achieved then a certificate will be awarded at the end of the day. \nIt will be a very busy day with lots to cover. The emphasis will be on the actual stringing skills. Suitable for complete beginners who wish to start off on the right foot\, or for experienced stringers wishing to upgrade their skills/knowledge and/or to achieve the certification of Tennis Stringer or Squash Stringer. \nThe course fee includes one year of UKRSA membership which allows access to the UKRSA Technical Forum and to exchange information with the other stringers\, great product discounts or even get involved in tournament stringing work. Tennis coaches earn 6 CPD credits upon successful certification. \nPlaces are limited so book soon to avoid disappointment. SUMMARY:Badminton Stringer Course - Epsom (close to M25) - Saturday 22nd March 2025
DESCRIPTION:This is another opportunity to join one of our very popular Badminton specialist stringer courses based in the South of England at Ebbisham Sports Club in Epsom\, Surrey. \nYour course tutor will be Martin Creasey\, a very experienced racket technician and current Surrey County and England Masters Badminton player. He will take you through all of the racket servicing skills for badminton stringing and by the end of the day you will be able to string badminton rackets to a good standard. The course is suitable for those new to stringing\, or those already stringing and who wish to enhance their skills and knowledge. \nIf you have your own machine\, please bring it to practice on. We will check this is correctly set up for you. An electronic and manual crank machine will also be provided for those who do not yet have their own machine. \nYou may bring along your own rackets to work on if you wish and practice rackets and string will also be provided. There is a lot to cover and we will tailor the course according to your needs. \nThe Course starts at 9.30am and finishes at 5.00pm. \nCourse fee of £249 includes one years UKRSA membership which allows you to access the UKRSA Technical Forum where you will be able to chat about rackets and strings. DESCRIPTION:Nestled in the beautiful SW19 area lies The Wimbledon Club\, also known as Lakeside. \nSituated opposite the All England Lawn Tennis Club and home to a plethora of sports\, it’s at this iconic venue that we will host our very popular one day UKRSA Tennis Stringer course.\nWe start at 9:30am and will be finished by 4:30pm. \nStringing machines will be provided\, though if anyone wishes to bring along their own machine then let Paul know in advance. \nTopics will include racket constructions\, string types/properties\, effects of varying tensions\, relationship between string and ball\, string bed stiffness and string durability. \nIt will be a very busy day with lots to cover. The emphasis will be on the actual stringing skills. Suitable for complete beginners who wish to start off on the right foot\, or for experienced stringers wishing to upgrade their skills/knowledge and/or to achieve the certification of UKRSA Tennis Stringer. \nInformation offered on how to set up a successful stringing business. Certification awarded at end of course if sufficient skills and knowledge have been demonstrated. All materials\, rackets\, strings and machines will be provided. \nThe course fee includes some free string samples\, one year of UKRSA membership which allows access to the UKRSA Technical Forum and to exchange information with the other stringers\, great product discounts or even get involved in tournament stringing work. Tennis coaches earn 6 CPD credits upon successful certification. \nPlenty of parking is available and refreshments will be available to purchase at the club catering facilities. DESCRIPTION:Venue – Eastgate\, tennis/squash/bowls club\, Langworthgate\, Lincoln. LN24AD – https://clubspark.lta.org.uk/EastgateClub/\nThis is a comprehensive two-day event that covers all aspects of racket servicing. Suitable for complete beginners wishing to grasp the skills and knowledge properly or for experienced stringers wishing to upgrade their their existing skills/knowledge and achieve the UKRSA Certification. Starts at 9.30am and finishes at 5pm each day\, with a short break for lunch. Your course tutor will be Liam Nolan\, UKRSA Founder & Technical Director. Liam is also ex-Wimbledon Head Stringer\, USRSA Master Racket Technician and Davis Cup stringer. \nDay One will cover Tennis & Squash\, Day Two will include Badminton. We will be using both manual and electronic machines. It may be possible to include course members rackets\, but we will have a full range of assorted rackets for use on the course. Your course fee includes one years UKRSA membership if needed\, so that you can access the UKRSA Technical Forum and share all sorts of information. \nWe will cover a very wide range of tasks such as string types\, choosing the correct string and tensions\, gripping\, grip enlarging\, string patterns\, grommet replacement\, stencilling\, assorted weaving methods\, tools and their uses\, machine types\, running a successful stringing service and lots more. \nFood – Please bring your own food and drinks for the Sunday\, though that may be available at the club. There is no “Final Test” but hopefully all course members will be receiving the certificates at the end of the course.
