SUMMARY:Professional Stringer course - Sat 30th November/Sunday 1st December
DESCRIPTION:Venue – Eastgate\, tennis/squash/bowls club\, Langworthgate\, Lincoln. LN24AD – https://clubspark.lta.org.uk/EastgateClub/\nThis is a comprehensive two-day event that covers all aspects of racket servicing. Suitable for complete beginners wishing to grasp the skills and knowledge properly or for experienced stringers wishing to upgrade their their existing skills/knowledge and achieve the UKRSA Certification. Starts at 9.30am and finishes at 5pm each day\, with a short break for lunch. Your course tutor will be Liam Nolan\, UKRSA Founder & Technical Director. Liam is also ex-Wimbledon Head Stringer\, USRSA Master Racket Technician and Davis Cup stringer. \nDay One will cover Tennis & Squash\, Day Two will include Badminton. We will be using both manual and electronic machines. It may be possible to include course members rackets\, but we will have a full range of assorted rackets for use on the course. Your course fee includes one years UKRSA membership if needed\, so that you can access the UKRSA Technical Forum and share all sorts of information. \nWe will cover a very wide range of tasks such as string types\, choosing the correct string and tensions\, gripping\, grip enlarging\, string patterns\, grommet replacement\, stencilling\, assorted weaving methods\, tools and their uses\, machine types\, running a successful stringing service and lots more. \nFood – Please bring your own food and drinks\, though that may be available at the club. There is no “Final Test” but hopefully all course members will be receiving the certificates at the end of the course. DESCRIPTION:This course will be run later\, date to be fixed. Contact Liam on liam@ukrsa.com for more info. \nThere will be a two-day Professional Stringer course over this weekend. Suitable for all levels\, from those who have no previous experience\, to those who are already stringing but now wish to achieve the certification and check out their skills and knowledge. Day 1 covers tennis & squash\, Day 2 carries on into badminton. All aspects of racket servicing will be covered to a professional standard. Your tutor will be Liam Nolan\, UKRSA Technical Director & Founder. Liam may be joined by other course tutors who are resident in Ireland. \nWe will have 3 stringing machines available to use – Prince 6000 electronic machine\, Dunlop 3.0 electronic machine and a Tyger manual machine. Course members may bring along their own machines to work on if they wish. Rackets can also be taken along to work on if so wished. \nCourse fee is £349.00. Payable in advance when booking\, or direct into UKRSA account if so wished. Email liam@ukrsa.com for details. Each course member receives around €100 of free strings. A years UKRSA membership is included. This allows stringers to access the Technical Forum for technical support afterwards. Certification is awarded at the end of the course. This will be either the Professional Stringer certificate\, or the UKRSA Course Attendance if there is yet more work to be done. \nAll age groups are welcome\, from around 12 years to 100 years! \nFrom 9.30am to 5.30pm each day.
