SUMMARY:Tennis Stringer Course - Warrington 18th April
DESCRIPTION:Your course tutor will be Paul Stewart\, one of the UK’s top stringers and coach. He will take you through all of the racket servicing skills for tennis stringing and by the end of the day you will be able to string tennis rackets to a good standard. The course is suitable for those new to stringing\, or those already stringing and who wish to enhance their skills and knowledge. \nYou are welcome to bring your own machine along\, though we will have electronic and manual machines. A familiar machine can help to grasp new skills and knowledge. \nThe course will be run at 20 Woodbridge Close\, Appleton\, Warrington\, Cheshire. WA45RD. \nCourse starts at 9.30am and finishes at 5.00pm. \nCourse fee of £199 includes one years UKRSA membership which allows you to access the UKRSA Technical Forum where you will be able to chat about rackets and strings and no matter what problem you may come across\, someone there has already got the answer!  UKRSA members have access to lots of product discounts from many brands. \nFood – Bring along a packed lunch\, tea/coffee etc will be provided. \nCovid – Restrictions now eased off\, but you may wear a mask if you wish throughout the day. All of the equipment and materials will have been cleansed in advance. \nYou may bring along your own rackets to work on if you wish and if time allows. There is so much to cover apart from the actual stringing. Gripping by itself can be a real skill! \nCertification will be awarded at the end of the day if the right level of skills and knowledge is achieved. \nYou will have a wonderful day of learning\, something to look back on in years to come.

DESCRIPTION:Nestled in the beautiful Surrey village of Oxshott lies the Oxshott Village Sports Club. \nIt’s here that we will host our very popular one day stringing course. Your tutor will be Paul Reilly. \nThe course starts off at 9.30am and will be finished by 5pm. \nIt’s recommended to bring your own lunch. Drinks will be available to purchase at the club although coffee\, tea and biscuits will be provided. \nStringing machines will be provided\, though if anyone wishes to bring along their own machine then let Paul know in advance. This course will cover either tennis or squash and on the day it’s your choice. Provided the right skills and knowledge are achieved then a certificate will be awarded at the end of the day. \nIt will be a very busy day with lots to cover. The emphasis will be on the actual stringing skills. Suitable for complete beginners who wish to start off on the right foot\, or for experienced stringers wishing to upgrade their skills/knowledge and/or to achieve the certification of Tennis Stringer or Squash Stringer. \nCourse fee includes one year of UKRSA membership which allows access to the UKRSA Technical Forum and to exchange information with the other stringers\, great product discounts or even get involved in tournament stringing work. (One coach  already booked in) \nIt will be a busy but enjoyable day of racket servicing\, looking at a wide range of rackets\, strings and ways to handle all of the routine servicing tasks such as stringing\, re-gripping\, stenciling\, mistakes to avoid\, different stringing machines and tools\, how to set up a small stringing business etc. \nThe course is suitable for complete beginners or those already stringing who wish to upgrade their skills and knowledge\, perhaps get the 6 CPD coaching credits and also the certification. \nBring a packed lunch for yourself\, I can provide tea\, coffee\, water throughout the day. If all goes well then you will receive your signed certificate at the end of the day. You can bring along your own machine if you have one\, plus your own rackets to work on if you wish. Course fee includes one years UKRSA membership and access to the Technical Forum within the website\, plus many discounts on stringing materials. \nCourse venue is the UKRSA special Stringing Room & HQ at my home. DESCRIPTION:We are pleased to relaunch this very popular course for 2023. The venue is Ebbisham Sports Club\, Eastway\, off Pound Lane\, Epsom. Surrey KT19 8SG \nCourse tutor will be Martin Creasey who plays at Masters County and International level and already caters for the stringing needs of players in the area. Martin has a wealth of knowledge and experience\, so you will come away with a very good understanding of racket servicing for badminton. This course is ideal for stringers who want to focus primarily on badminton. \nThe course is suitable for all levels\, whether a beginner starting off\, or a seasoned stringer wishing to upgrade their skills and knowledge and gain the certification. The certificate will be awarded at the end of the course provided sufficient progress has been made. Those who have a stringing machine already are invited to bring it along to work on if they wish and Martin can check it’s working correctly. \nYou will be sent some pre-course technical information which will be very useful on the course and into the future\, plus free UKRSA membership for one year so that you can take part in the discussion on the Technical Forum and also make use of the many UKRSA member discounts on products from sponsoring companies. \nPlease bring a sandwich for lunch. The course will continue informally during lunch with time for Questions and Answers. \n
