DESCRIPTION:This will be a small course for up to two people at the UKRSA HQ in Norwich and run by Liam Nolan UKRSA  Founder & Technical Director. (One lady already booked in) \nIt will be a busy but enjoyable day of racket servicing\, looking at a wide range of rackets\, strings and ways to handle all of the routine servicing tasks such as stringing\, re-gripping\, stenciling\, mistakes to avoid\, different stringing machines and tools\, how to set up a small stringing business etc. \nThe course is suitable for complete beginners or those already stringing who wish to upgrade their skills and knowledge\, perhaps get the CPD coaching credits and also the certification. \nBring a packed lunch for yourself\, I can provide tea\, coffee\, water throughout the day. If all goes well then you will receive your signed certificate at the end of the day. You can bring along your own machine if you have one\, plus your own rackets to work on if you wish. Course fee includes one years UKRSA membership and access to the Technical Forum within the website\, plus many discounts on stringing materials. \nCourse starts at 9.30am and finishes by 5.30pm. SUMMARY:POSTPONED - STRINGING DEVELOPMENT Course - Norwich UKRSA HQ  2023
DESCRIPTION:Due to family illness\, this event will need to be run later in the year\, many apologies\, Liam \nThis is the first of monthly one-day course aimed at those who are already stringing rackets but who may wish to get things checked out over a busy full day of racket servicing action. Most stringers who have been stringing for some years will not have been through a formal training course. Thats absolutely fine. As long as you are doing things that make sense and keep customers returning\, then good. What we will be doing is checking that all is being done correctly. \nWe will spend time on answering your questions on why things are done in a certain way. What actually happens when the ball hits the strings\, how tensions can affect everything\, how racket frames need protection\, what the professional players demand and why\, how to run a successful stringing business. Its YOUR day to ask questions and hopefully I can give some answers. \nYou can bring along some rackets to work on if you wish\, badminton\, squash or tennis\, though I have plenty here anyway. We will be working on two machines – Wilson Baiardo Lite and the latest Dunlop 3.0. \nYour cost for the day is the usual £199.00 which will include one years UKRSA membership\, free strings to take away\, refreshments and usual biccies and sandwiches etc. \nHEALTH WARNING – I have a 11 months old Staffy pup who will lick anyone to extreme measures! DESCRIPTION:We are pleased to relaunch this very popular course for 2023. The venue is Ebbisham Sports Club\, Eastway\, off Pound Lane\, Epsom. Surrey KT19 8SG \nCourse tutor will be Martin Creasey who plays at International level and already caters for the stringing needs of players in the area. Martin has a wealth of knowledge and experience\, so you will come away with a very good understanding of racket servicing for badminton. Please note this is a “Badminton only” course and those who wish to have a course dealing with squash or tennis can find those specific courses coming up regularly. \nThe course is suitable for all levels\, whether a beginner starting off or a seasoned stringer wishing to upgrade their skills and knowledge and gain the certification. The certificate will be awarded at the end of the course provided sufficient progress has been made. Those who have a stringing machine already are invited to bring it along to work on if they wish and Martin can check its working correctly. \nYou will be sent some pre-course technical information which will be very useful on the course and into the future\, plus free UKRSA membership for one year so that you can take part in the discussion on the Technical Forum and also make use of the many UKRSA member discounts on products from sponsoring companies. \nGood luck with your course!
