SUMMARY:TENNIS or SQUASH STRINGER one-day course at Putney LTC on November 1st 2021
DESCRIPTION:We will be running a one-day course for either Tennis OR Squash on Monday 1st November 2021 at Putney LTC Balmuir Gardens\, London SW156NG. You can choose to focus on one sport if you wish. 9.30 am through to 5.30pm and covering all aspects of racket servicing. Your tutor will be Liam Nolan Jnr who is an experienced tournament stringer and professional coach. Its an active hands-on day of learning and at the end of the day certification will be presented if the right levels of skills have been achieved. All materials and equipment will be provided. Those already stringing and who wish to attend to gain the certification may bring along their own machine if they wish\, though please arrange in advance. Pen and paper is always handy\, you can bring along some rackets to work on if you wish as we may be able to include them on the day. However these must be cleaned in advance and grips removed if possible. \nthis course is suitable for both those new to stringing and those already stringing and wishing to gain the certification or to advance their skills. \nMachines – You will be able to work on either manual or electronic machines. \nCovid – We must always remain vigilant and so all equipment and materials will be cleansed thoroughly before the course. You may wear a face mask if you wish\, though its now optional. \nTopics will include – Health & Safety – Stringing Patterns – UKRSA RTW Pattern – String & Frame Technologies – Tension Selection – Grommet trip Replacement – Marketing Your Skills – Machine Tension Calibration & Maintenance – Knots – Tennis Elbow Considerations – Tools & Their Uses – Getting Out Of Jail – Equalising Mains Tension – Regripping – Handle Resizing – Tubing Damaged Grommets – single Grommets – Understanding Why Strings Break.
