DESCRIPTION:This will be a busy one-day course for beginners or those already stringing who may wish to upgrade their skills and knowledge and achieve the UKRSA Certification of Tennis Stringer. Max of two for this course and will be run at my UKRSA HQ stringing room. We will have a choice of various electronic and manual machines. Anyone wishing to bring along their own machine to work on is welcome and we can check it out.\nAlso feel free to bring your own rackets to work on if you wish\, though there will be lots already there waiting. \nAll aspects of racket servicing covered\, from basic skills through to tournament stringing tips. For coaches\, this course attracts 6 CPD points. I will provide the refreshments and snacks\, just bring your own packed lunch perhaps. This course will cover either tennis or squash and on the day it’s your choice. Please note this is a “Badminton only” course and those who wish to have a course dealing with squash or tennis can find those specific courses coming up regularly. \nThe course is suitable for all levels\, whether a beginner starting off or a seasoned stringer wishing to upgrade their skills and knowledge and gain the certification. DESCRIPTION:Due to family illness\, this event will need to be run later in the year\, many apologies\, Liam \nThis is the first of monthly one-day course aimed at those who are already stringing rackets but who may wish to get things checked out over a busy full day of racket servicing action. Most stringers who have been stringing for some years will not have been through a formal training course. Thats absolutely fine. As long as you are doing things that make sense and keep customers returning\, then good. What we will be doing is checking that all is being done correctly. \nWe will spend time on answering your questions on why things are done in a certain way. What actually happens when the ball hits the strings\, how tensions can affect everything\, how racket frames need protection\, what the professional players demand and why\, how to run a successful stringing business. Its YOUR day to ask questions and hopefully I can give some answers. \nYou can bring along some rackets to work on if you wish\, badminton\, squash or tennis\, though I have plenty here anyway. We will be working on two machines – Wilson Baiardo Lite and the latest Dunlop 3.0. \nYour cost for the day is the usual £199.00 which will include one years UKRSA membership\, free strings to take away\, refreshments and usual biccies and sandwiches etc. \nHEALTH WARNING – I have a 11 months old Staffy pup who will lick anyone to extreme measures!
