Covid is still around\, so we will be working with that threat in mind\, everything will have been cleansed and sanitised before the course and you may use a mask if you wish. Covid – Please bring proof of double vaccination and booster. \nWe will focus on the most challenging rackets and strings so that afterwards you should have little worries. Its a 9am start and 4.30pm finish. We will be using a squash court\, ideal for our needs but please wear trainers and not hob nailed boots! \nFood & drinks – Best to bring along your own food and drinks. \nCourse members will be given some free strings and grips to take away. SUMMARY:DARLINGTON - Tennis or Squash one-day stringing course 11th May 2021
DESCRIPTION:The Dunlop Sports HQ building in Lingfield House in Darlington will be the venue for either the Tennis Stringer or Squash Stringer course. Starting at 9.30am and running through to 6pm\, we will cover all aspects of racket servicing. This course is suitable for those starting to string or experienced stringers who wish to improve their skills and knowledge. Certification is awarded at the end of the course. Course fee includes one years UKRSA membership\, which allows access to the UKRSA members forum and manufacturers discounts. Apart from the actual stringing techniques\, we will also cover re-gripping\, handle re-sizing\, stencilling\, grommet strip replacement\, single grommet repair\, machine selection and maintenance/calibration and how to run a successful stringing service. Dunlop electronic machine will be provided\, plus Wilson Bairdo machine and manual lockout machine.\nAny rackets brought to the course MUST be properly cleansed beforehand. We will have available a range of hand sanitisers for your use.\nThere will be a range of electronic and manual machines in use. Those wishing to bring their own machines to work on can do so by arrangement in advance. Please bring your own food\, though there will be free tea/coffee etc provided throughout the day.\nYour tutor will be Liam Nolan\, UKRSA Technical Director.
